ADMISSION INTO SECONDARY SECTION
ADMISSION POLICY
1. Mikab Model College is a co-educational day school, and is opened to all interested candidates without discrimination, no matter the religion, gender, tribe or social status.
2. The college offers admission to candidates who have completed their primary school education and have sat and passed an entrance examination conducted by the Management of the college.
3. Interview is subsequently conducted to only the candidates who passed the entrance examination in order to finally select those that are qualified for admission.
TRANSFER CASES
The college may admit a candidate from other colleges or allied institutions provided: i. The candidate has undergone the stages of admission mentioned in (2) and (3) above successfully.
ii. He/she submits a transfer certificate from the immediate school he/she has attended.
REQUIREMENTS
Before resumption, a new student is expected to bring the following without which the student may lose his/her class space:
A. i. A photocopy of testimonial (or a transfer certificate as the case may be) from former school
ii. An original certificate of medical fitness from a designated medical centre approved by the school.
iii. Two recent passport photographs.
iv. A photocopy of birth certificate or statutory declaration of age.
v. A photocopy of the admission letter.
B. i. Evidence of payment of all the required school fees.
ii. Evidence of purchase of all the required textbooks and notebooks.
UNIFORM
a) At resumption, one set of uniform is supplied to all new students upon payment of all fees.
b) Students who need additional set of uniform can procure it from the school
c) Old students are allowed to sew a new set of uniform provided the style and colour are not different from the recommended one. In such an instance, the student should purchase the school badge and sew it on the uniform.
d) Every uniform which colour and style are different from the school standard shall be disallowed in the school.
e) The school has 2 sets of different uniforms. Students are required to purchase the two sets, so as to alternate as the school authority may require from time to time.
WRITING MATERIALS
1. Students are required to purchase at least one 60 leaves notebook for each subject.
2. Biro, pencil, eraser, sharpener & ruler
3. A drawing Board and mathematical set.
